We are closed for Winter and we will open for 2025 Mid March . We are accepting email bookings please contact us via email in the top right hand corner for any queries .
We open after Winter in March please mail ahead for a specific opening date. We do Not take bookings in the Winter .We usually close at the start of October although D of E groups are allowed during that month with a booking .
All money is collected in CASH ON ARRIVAL . Cheques are also accepted and 50p coins only are used in the shower . Cars , dogs and under 5’s are free .That does not mean you can bring EXTRA cars without asking /a good reason . We accept campervans , some Motorhomes and smaller Caravans . There are RESTRICTIONS with motorhomes as we do not have hardstanding at peak times as we need the carpark. You need to book ahead and we may have to say no to units longer then 6 metres in the case of heavy rain . Caravans will not be allowed without a booking.
We will have a quota of bookings with confirmation emails and there will also be space for first come first served . Of course space is not limitless and we do say no when we are at capacity or have taken enough bookings. We are NOT obliged to take everyone who turns up and we will not pack people in. We reserve the right to turn people away.
We understand that bookings need to change sometimes due to circumstances and generally that is not a problem if you contact us . There are exceptions we can not always change dates especially at a weekend (Coming for just a Saturday alone instead of what is prebooked) If the new booking is one that we would have originally said no to then we will not rebook it .
We work on trust and do not take money beforehand – therefore please afford us the respect we deserve by cancelling in good time. At least three days prior to the arrival date.
CHAPEL HOUSE FARM IS A BUSY WORKING HILL FARM & a home we do not have a designated office for bookings .Richard is primarily a sheep farmer. Likewise if you are a family or a group bringing EXTRA cars you may be refused a booking. We do not charge for cars but carparking space is important so please be aware .
SIX people meeting and upwards is considered a group even if you don’t arrive on the same day. This must be a prearranged booking. Please do not book separately and then congregate you will be asked to leave. People repeatedly making noise after being asked to stop will also be asked to leave . By noise we mean if there is one unit/booking that can be heard above all else then it is intrusive. We DO NOT expect silence or whispers so anyone coming here has to be reasonable and understand there is always going to be a noise level just not an anti social one. Music should be played very low and no loud radio’s please .
ALL arrivals should be here by 8.00 pm *(APART FROM SATURDAY PLEASE SEE BELOW) and not before 10.00am with the exception of Friday which will be 9.pm or 9.30 with permission. Those turning up on a whim are advised to come earlier for best results. Mail ahead if you need some leeway .
Departures by midday except Saturdays which is 10am if it is the week and you want a last walk ask Richard to extend your car parking time – if possible he will.
Saturdays are often very busy so you need to be aware and work with us. If we say no sorry to a booking please do not become combative- we do not turn away business without a reason. Saturday restrictions vary throughout the year so mail ahead to see the arrival times for your date of choice.WE GENEALLY DO NOT TAKE BOOKINGS ARRIVING LATE AFTERNOON /EVENING FOR SATURDAYS PEAK SEASON UNLESS YOU ARE ON FOOT. You can turn up but we do NOT guarantee space on a Saturday for one night . Likewise Friday arrivals/bookings for just one night are not always possible peak season .

Chapel house farm remains unchanged. We are a quiet site with minimal noise from 10.30 pm and a general laid back atmosphere .People come here to unwind and relax. If that sounds unappealing please reconsider your choice. There is no Loud music or parties of any kind .
Richard is generally on site (at weekends)with his pick up or quad on the car park available for advice on where to pitch and to pay. If you don’t see him follow the sign for enquiries . If it is midweek and quiet and you have a smaller tent then just pitch up. Cars are allowed on the grass to unpack and then they must immediately be returned to the carpark.
When our overspill is open you must get permission to camp there first-thanks.
When deep cleaning the showers and facilities may be off limits for a while(there will be two toilets still is use}. Please ask if you see cleaning is afoot.

For all other info please read this website which should answer all of your questions. If you want to plan routes and he is around Richard will point you in the right direction but we do not help with this beforehand.(
If you’d like to book, just call or email us and we’ll reserve your space. Alternatively, you can simply turn up but please DON’T PITCH YOUR TENT UNTIL YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO US. There are clear signs for enquiries and usually Richard (the Owner) is on the site.
