Our Facilities
Chapel House Farm Campsite is a comfortable and friendly site where you can enjoy the beauty of the Lake District with several convenient facilities
While we believe that camping should be all about getting clost to nature, we also know how important it is to be comfortable when you settle in for the night!
We have many facilities to make your stay more comfortable:
The campsite has a shower block offering hot showers (or cold if that's what you prefer!). Perfect for refreshing yourself after a long day walking.
There is a 50p charge for using the hot showers.
(Cold showers are free)
Please see the note below about winter months.
The campsite has an easily accessibe, well lit toilet block with seperate male/female toilets.
We have plenty of space for parking vehicles of almost any size just a few metres from the camp site.
Vehicles should be left in our car park, rather than the camp site.
If you have any questions about parking (e.g. if your vehicle is very large) then please contact us.
Washing dishes without a sink or clean water can be incredibly difficult!
For this reason, we have 3 sinks for washing dishes.
From November to March We operate at a lesser capacity, and often showers are not on due to freezing conditions and the threat of burst pipes . There will always be some toilets on and running water (cold).
If you specifically needs a shower it is best to phone ahead to ensure the weather is right for them to be operable.
